Terry and Shirley Gates, of Reedsville, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 3, 2010.
They were married at St. John's Lutheran Church in Siglerville on Sept. 3, 1960, with the Rev. Harry R. Billow officiating.
He is retired from Machine Shop 1 at Standard Steel. She is retired from secretarial work.

They are the parents of one daughter, Stacey Linn Gates. They have five grandchildren: Jessyca Hughes, Shannah, Nathaniel and Justin Boring and Christianna Smith. They also have two great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Bryson Hughes.
The couple celebrated their anniversary with family and friends on Sept. 2 at the Brookmere Winery in Belleville.
