Dean and Anna (Reed) Wakefield, of Milroy, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were married on Aug. 5, 1960, at Grace Evangelical Brethren Church, by the Rev. Joseph Miller.
They are the parents of one daughter, Karen Henry, of Milroy.

He retired from Standard Steel in 2000, and served in the U.S. Army. She is a homemaker.
They attribute the success of their marriage to "respect, patience and staying committed to a lasting relationship."
