NEWTON HAMILTON - A Dillsburg man allegedly shot and killed another man in front of a Mifflin County residence at around 8:40 a.m. on Saturday, Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report.
Police said Charles Trimmer Jr., 61, of Dillsburg, shot Darren Parys, 46, of Newton Hamilton, twice with a 12-gauge shotgun. Mifflin County Coroner Daniel Lynch said he pronounced Parys dead at the scene.
Police said the incident happened in front of Parys' home at 225 Blackberry Lane in Wayne Township.

Lynch said Trimmer, who was Parys' neighbor, claimed he was driving up the lane when Parys sprayed him with pepper spray, after which point Trimmer shot Parys once in the back and once in the neck.
Police said Trimmer was taken into custody, arraigned and charged with criminal homicide through Magisterial District Judge Jack Miller's office.
Police said Trimmer is currently incarcerated at Mifflin County Correctional Facility, and bail has been denied.
