Wagners celebrate 50th anniversary

James A. and Patsy A. (Knepp) Wagner, of Lewistown, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married on June 11, 1960, at Burnham Evangelical United Methodist Church in Burnham, by Pastor Melvin F. Warntz.

To celebrate the special anniversary, an open house was held at Calvary Bible Church, hosted by the couple's children and grandchildren.

They are the parents of James A. Wagner, and wife, Christina, of Chambersburg, and Lisa Kaye Stroup and husband, Patrick, of Belleville. They have five grandchildren, Jason, Andrew, Jillian, Jessica and Alayna.

He was employed in the engineer department at Standard Steel, and was a motor sergeant in the U.S. Army, 25th Division.

She is a homemaker.

They are members of Calvary Bible Church.

They attribute the success of their marriage to "love and commitment; we made our vows to our Lord and each other and it is through him that we are able to keep them."
