Yorks-Phillips

Laura Ashlee Yorks and Michael Harry Phillips were married on June 20, 2009, at Pine Grove United Methodist Church, Mifflintown.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Sheila Yorks, of Mifflintown. The groom is the son of James and Denise Phillips, of Liverpool.

Abby Yorks, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor.

The best man was Paul Flowers, of Liverpool.

Bridesmaids were: Samantha Gulino and Rebecca Culp, both of New York City; and Elizabeth Anthony, of East Waterford.

Groomsmen were Jason Phillips, of Mount Pleasant Mills, and Stephen Phillips and David Phillips, both of Liverpool, all brothers of the groom.

Ushers were Brian Kerstetter and Brad Willow, both of Mount Pleasant Mills.

Flower girl was Kirsten Walker, of Liverpool.

Ring bearer was Dominik Rowles, of East Waterford.

Pastor Joy Hulslander performed the ceremony that also included: Amanda Gesselman, of Port Royal, guestbook attendant; Marlene Glass, pianist; Jason Stouffer, of Mifflintown, candlelighter; and Karen Stouffer of Mifflintown, who read a poem.

A reception followed at the Port Royal Community Building.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Juniata High School and a 2007 graduate of Philadelphia University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in fashion design. She is employed as an associate technical designer at Blair LLC in Warren.

The groom is a 2001 graduate of East Juniata High School and is employed by Orchard Brands Distribution Center in Warren.

After a honeymoon to Molokai, Hawaii, they live in Warren.
