James N. “Jack” Treaster

MILROY - James N. "Jack" Treaster, 79, of 298 South Main St., Milroy, Pa., went to be with the Lord at 11:15 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at Valley View Haven in Belleville with his daughter and sons at his side.

Born May 19, 1930, in Milroy, he was a son of the late Lewis Holmes Treaster and Grace L. (Kerstetter) Treaster. His wife Mildred L. (Goss) Treaster preceded him in death on May 8, 1987.

Surviving are children, Michael L. Treaster of Milroy, Renee S. Cox, Jerry A. Treaster, Matthew C. Treaster, and wife April S. (Havice) Treaster all of Yeagertown.

Also surviving are brothers, Richard L. Treaster, Stanley L. Treaster, Harold E. Treaster.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert "Red" Treaster on March 16, 2002, and a sister, Marjorie M. Hayes on June 2, 2009.

Earlier in life he had been a truck driver and worked at Beaver Brothers Bakery in Burnham. He operated the Family Business Treasters Exxon and Jacks Used Cars in the Lewistown Narrows for 30 years.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.

He enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and his companion Lucy, and stayed active by working on his cars.

A viewing will be held on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bohn Funeral Home in Reedsville. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m on Saturday Nov. 28, 2009, with the Rev. Carl Geisinger officiating. Interment will be in the Church Hill Cemetery Reedsville, PA.
