LEWISTOWN - The 19th annual Reformation Recital will be held at 3:15 p.m. Oct. 25 at the St. John's Lutheran Church, in Lewistown.
Andrea Nagel will give a 15-minute vocal and keyboard prelude. Music for the afternoon includes a flute trio with Jerry Stone, Amy McKelvey and Freda Richard; a brass trio with Josie Baughman, Terri Limes and Tracy Loucks; piano and organ duets by Patty Loudenslager with Lynn Phillips, Terri Limes and Joy Horning; piano music by Nellie Wilson, Katie LaMarca, Olivia Runk and Joan Loewen; and handbells by Peter Marsh.
Vocal talent will include a trio with Susan Shawver, Gina Moare and Greg Shawver; a guitar and vocal selection by Richard Burns; music by Nikki Hidlay and the Rev. Bernard Carpenter; and a duet by Andrea Nagel and Alisha Everly.
The men's choir directed by Josie Baughman, St. John's Youth Praise and Worship Band and the Celeste Choir also will perform.
An offering will be taken. Refreshments will be held after the recital.
Reformation Sunday is celebrated in remembrance of Martin Luther, who nailed his 95 theses on the door of the church in Wittenberg on Oct. 31, 1517.
This act triggered the movement in world history known as the Protestant Reformation.
