John (Gerald) and Drucilla Eddy, of Lewistown, recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
They were married on July 2, 1949, in Hagerstown, Md.
They are the parents of: Linda and Harry Baumgardner, of Lewistown; Jerri Ann Shank, of Lewistown; and Mark and Ruth Eddy, of Lewistown. They have five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

John retired in 1994 from Lewistown Specialty Yarns, with more than 35 years of service. He served two years in the U.S. Navy aboard an aircraft carrier, and 13 months in Korea with the U.S. Army National Guard.
Drucilla had been employed at F.W. Black Hospital and Kirby Manufacturing.
They are members of the Lewistown Assembly of God Church.
She attributes the success of their marriage to "faith in the Lord," and he said their marriage has been successful because "my wife is an exceptionally good person and then I became a Christian."
