A unidentified bystander attempts to put water onto a fire that consumed the back porch and part of a room on Saturday on East Back Mountain Road. Firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze, which is being investigated by Mifflin County Regional Police. Responding units were Reedsville Fire Co., Belleville Fire Co., Highland Park Hose Company, Milroy Fire Company, Allensville Fire Company, Junction Fire Company, Big Valley EMS, Milroy EMS and Fame EMS Rehab Unit. Crews remained on scene until 12:30 p.m., and East Back Mountain Road was closed for about two hours.
