GRANVILLE - Gladys Pauline Rishel, 89, of Malta Home, Granville, formerly of N. Grand St., Lewistown, died at 5:25 a.m., Thursday, March 12, 2009, at the home.
Born Aug. 7, 1919, in Mifflinburg, she was a daughter of the late Joe and Sara (Lingle) Gutelius. Her husband, Norman Earl Rishel, preceded her in death in 1988.
She is survived by: three children, Larry Rishel, of Clearwater, Fla., Nancy Dawson, of Fla., and Mae Ganoe, of Lewistown; half brother and sister, Tom Gutelius, of Lewistown, and Susie Gutelius, of Baltimore, Md.; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: two sons, Rick Rishel, in 1979, and Jack Everette Rishel, in 1944; a daughter, Judy Rishel Barger, in 1988; and two half sisters, Dorie Gutelius Yarevitz and Arla Jean Gutelius.
She was the owner of Rishel's Antiques for 20 years.
She was a 1936 graduate of Lewistown High School, the Lewistown Senior Center President for six years, and the President of Mifflin County Antique Dealers.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 16, at Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Leon Yoder officiating. Interment will be held in Lind Memorial Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday.
