Richard and Geraldine "Deanie" (Zeiders) Earp, of Yeagertown, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Nov. 20, 2008.
They were married on Nov. 20, 1943, in Yeagertown, with Methodist minister Ezra L. Parks conducting the service.
To commemorate their anniversary, their family held a celebration at their son Tom's house on Nov. 15 in Newberrytown.

They have two children, Susan, of Lewistown, and Thomas, of Newberrytown; three grandchildren, Thor, Britte Corrigan and Melissa Roberts; and four great-grandchildren, Mason, Alexis, Reese and Logan Earp.
Richard retired from American Viscose/FMC in 1985. He served in the Army/European Theatre from January1943 to December 1945.
Geraldine retired from the Department of Public Welfare in 1988.
They are members of the Yeagertown Methodist Church.
They attribute the success of their marriage to love and respect for one another.
