Don and Josie Casner, of Mifflintown, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 21, 2008, while vacationing with their family in Ocean City, N.J.
They were married in the Westminster Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Elmer Davis.
They are the parents of two children: Tobi Gilson, of Mohnton; and the late Kerry Casner, of Mechanicsburg.

They have four grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
Don retired as a civil engineer from the Department of Transportation.
They both enjoy polka dancing, along with teaching polka lessons for the Capital City Polka Dancers Association.
Don also enjoys golfing, while Josie enjoys playing tennis.
A celebration was held in October to honor their anniversary.
