Frank L. and Frances (Bailor) Thompson, of Lewistown, recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.
They were married on Sept. 3, 1938, in Elton, Md., by the Rev. P.K. Lampbert.
Their anniversary was celebrated with a church service and reception at Trinity United Church of Christ in Lewistown.

Their family includes: daughter, Susan T. Lash, of Ellicott City, Md.; grandson Mark T. Lash, of Ellicott City, Md., and his wife, Holly Lash; and great-grandson Garrett Lash, of Ellicott City, Md.
Frank had been employed as a sales engineer and Frances as a secretary at the Mifflin County Library.
They are members of Trinity United Church of Christ.
They attribute the success of their marriage to "love, listening and laughter."
