From staff reports
BELLEVILLE - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has announced it plans to open the state Route 655 bridge in Belleville today to vehicle traffic.
The bridge, which spans the Little Kish Creek, has been closed since early June as work crews made repairs to the structure and installed an additional box culvert cell.
Other construction work included concrete pipe installations, inlet work, a new guide rail, a concrete sidewalk and pavement markings.
PennDOT said the traffic detour in the area will be lifted once the road is opened to traffic.
Work in the area will continue next week, as the contractor on the $930,000 project, George S. Hann & Son, Inc., conducts cleanup operations in the area.
Motorists are advised to remain alert for construction vehicles entering the roadway.
