The couple has five children: Dale Feltman, of Kreamer, Deborah Neitz, of Freeburg, Vincent Feltman, of Kreamer, Roger Feltman, of Richfield, and Wendy Holderman, of Richfield. The children hosted the celebration at the Fremont Fire Hall in Mount Pleasant Mills, with help from the eight grandchildren: Valerie Feltman of Lancaster, Jason and Jesse Neitz, of Freeburg, Cary Feltman, of Kreamer, Levi and Paige Feltman, of Richfield, and Tanisha and Devin Holderman, of Richfield.
Retired U.S.A.F. Chaplain Colonel Stuart Lengel offered a prayer and shared stories. Cousins came from Rochester, N.Y., members of the Beers family from Lewistown, and Harold Kerstetter from Exton, who along with his wife, Nancy, was witness to the couple's wedding in 1958.
Visitors reminisced with the couple and each other while enjoying a buffet supper and plenty of ice cream and golden anniversary cake. The cake could also be considered a combination anniversary-birthday cake. That's because the couple was married on the groom's birthday.
