GETTYSBURG - Sandra L. Schlegel, 67, of 1075 Old Harrisburg Rd., Gettysburg and formerly of Beaver Springs, died at 12:52 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2008, at the Gettysburg Lutheran Home.
Born April 30, 1941, in Danville, she was a daughter of the late Samuel R. and Blanche E. (Kipp) Schlegel.
She was a lifelong member of Christ Church, Beaver Springs.
Miss Schlegel was a 1959 graduate of West Snyder High School, Beaver Springs, where she played basketball and was active in the marching and concert bands. She attended West Chester State Teachers College.
Sandra is survived by one sister, Cynthia Blevins and her husband Donald, of Gettysburg; two nephews, David Blevins and his wife Rebecca, of Gettysburg, Adam Blevins and his wife, Michelle, of Orrtanna; and two great nieces, Michaela and Brianna Blevins, of Gettysburg.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at Christ Church, Beaver Springs with Rev. Dr. David M. Meckley officiating. Interment will follow in Adamsburg Cemetery, Beaver Springs.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday July 2, 2008, at the church.
