Boyd M. ‘Junior’ Arnold Jr.

LEWISTOWN — Boyd M. “Junior” Arnold Jr., 63, of 142 W. Market St., Lewistown, died at 11 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2008, at his home.

Born July 14, 1944, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Boyd M. and Sarah C. (Shawver) Arnold Sr. His wife, Susan M. (Orth) Arnold, whom he married October 2007, survives.

Also surviving are daughters, Michelle L. Bonson and her husband, Stephen, Reedsville, Nicole E. Van Horne and her husband, Gary, Lewistown, Lindsey A. Baumgardner, Burnham; stepdaughters, Lori Snyder and Tiffany Gearhart, both of Lewistown; sisters, Gladys Hesketh, Connie Cherry and her husband, Roy, and Linda Douty, all of Lewistown, and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army, a veteran of the Vietnam era and was awarded a Bronze Star.

Early in life he worked for Fisher Electronics and was president of IBEW Union for many years.

He was a member of the Brooklyn Hose Co. and served as president for many years. He also was a member of City Hook and Ladder Co. and was a member of the Lewistown Country Club. He enjoyed his yearly Florida golfing trips and auto racing.

His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2008, at Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Stephen Jeanes officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park with graveside military honors conducted by VFW Post 7011.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
