DANVILLE — Greenwood would feel right at home in a five-sided gym — after all, what could be more appropriate for the Wildcats, who have been the department of defense among local basketball teams for the past two seasons. That stop-the-other-guy mentality was key for the Greenwood boys Tuesday, as they shut down Old Forge and advanced to the PIAA Class A quarterfinals for the second year in a row with a 46-37 win over the Blue Devils at Danville’s Whitey McCloskey Center. Greenwood (24-3), the District 3 runner up, will face Lebanon Catholic, the third-place team from District 3 — and the team Greenwood beat in the district semis — Friday at a site and time to be determined. Lebanon Catholic was a 51-47 winner over Mansfield Tuesday. District 2 champ Old Forge ends the season at 15-11. The teams traded leads most of the way, but the Wildcats held the lead from the third quarter, getting it for good with three minutes to play when Cameron Hinkel hit a 3-pointer.
