Milroy Lions Club to hold benefit spaghetti dinner
To the editor:
The Milroy Lions Club wishes to announce our October spaghetti supper fundraiser.
The supper will be held on Oct. 24 at the White Memorial Church Fellowship Hall, Main Street, Milroy. We will serve from 4 to 7 p.m. (take-out available). The menu will be the same: spaghetti, meatballs, salad applesauce, bread, desserts and drinks.
As always, we will donate the entire net profit to a worthy cause. This month’s recipient will be the family of 6-year-old Kyler Sheetz.
Kyler is being treated for a rare type of cancer. He has undergone numerous operations and has more in the future. He is under treatment alternating between two hospitals. He has been under the care of Philadelphia Children’s Hospital, UPMC Pittsburgh and Mount Nittany. His treatments are every two weeks.
We thank the general public for your interest and support of our effort to help those in our community with special needs.
Please note: the meal this month is one week later. Please note the date is Oct. 24.
Please come out for a good meal and a time of fellowship as we join efforts to reach out and serve our community.
We charge by donation only, so everyone can afford to join us.
We accept donated desserts.
