To the editor:

It is with great pride that we celebrate the generosity, commitment and caring of the Juniata Valley. For the first time in over 10 years, the Mifflin-Juniata United Way met and exceeded their campaign goal with a final number totaling over $455,000!

I want to especially acknowledge the efforts of Executive Director Oksana DeArment and Katie Specht, resource coordinator, who worked tirelessly to engage and educate the workforce, partner agencies and community; the volunteers; and the Board of Directors who supported the United Way activities throughout the year.

Great things happen when communities come together to support a common goal. We look forward to the next campaign with eagerness and anticipation!
