To the editor:

Just a note to our friends and neighbors here in the Lewistown area who attended the Lewistown Rotary Club’s seafood dinner fundraiser. Knowing the primary beneficiaries would be the LUMINA Center and the Mifflin County Academy of Science and Technology’s scholarship foundation, the community’s response was truly overwhelming. A fun and delicious night was enjoyed by all.

Thanks to our local radio stations and The (Lewistown) Sentinel for helping get the word out. And a special shout out to Big 100.3 for helping to provide a relaxed dining experience with background music. We also appreciate our partnership with the Moose Family Center for providing an excellent venue.

I want to personally thank all of my fellow Rotarians who participated and made the dinner a great success. Rotary’s motto is “Service Above Self.” The collective commitment on everyone’s part shows our club is living up to this commitment. On behalf of the Lewistown Rotary Club, thanks again to everyone who attended and participated in our community seafood dinner.
