Does private sector do health care better? No!

To the editor:

Medicare pays 100 percent of all approved hospital expenses and 80 percent of all approved medical costs for eligible seniors. Most seniors pay no monthly expenditure for the hospitalization coverage, but many seniors pay $135.50 a month for the 80 percent medical cost coverage.

AARP and its affiliate, United Healthcare Insurance Company, charges many seniors $199.75 a month to purchase a policy that covers only 20 percent of all eligible medical costs and an extra $75 a month for Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage.

Does the private sector do it better? No!
