Thank you for contributing to successful Oldies Dance

To the editor:

The First Baptist Church of Lewistown would like to thank all the organizations who helped with the success of the Oldies Dance Nov. 3 at the Juniata Valley YMCA on behalf of Mifflin County Habitat for Humanity. The event raised over $1,700 for Mifflin County Habitat for Humanity. The ticket sales exceeded $1,300 and the Snack Canteen nearly $400.

First Baptist would like to thank the following organizations and businesses for their support and assistance with this Oldies Dance: APM/True Value Hardware, Asher’s Candy, Harshbarger’s Sub ‘N Malt/McVeytown, J.A.E. Florist, Logan House, Lewistown Paper Company, Burnham OIP, Downtown OIP & Grille, Thirty-One, Thrivent, Wray’s Landscaping and the Juniata Valley YMCA. Also, church members and Habitat members deserve thanks for their volunteer time along with gratis time given by emcee Charlie Stump, sound tech Paul Lavelle and accordianist Greg DeVecchis.
