Without support, Halloween parade isn’t possible

To the editor:

We at McVeytown would like to thank all that supported our Chicken Pie Supper and Halloween Parade, even though the parade was rained out on Saturday, it went on as usual Monday evening. To the best of my knowledge, this is one of the oldest parades in the county, if not the oldest. Here is a list of the winners and also the sponsors that made this happen.

Also we would like to thank Sen. Jake Corman, Rep. Adam Harris, Rep. Kerry Benninghoff and Rep. Rich Irvin for donating flags to present to veterans at our annual dinner for them. There were 90 at the dinner and a thank you to our Speaker, Patricia Miller and Greg DeVecchis for his entertaining us with music on the accordian.
