Thanks for making BVI, districts a success
To the editor:
It is with great appreciation that the Mifflin County Cross Country Booster Club would like to extend our thanks to the many volunteers and patrons of the Big Valley Invitational and District 6 Cross Country Championships.
Thanks to the following businesses for their generous donations to our concession stands: Dunkin’ Donuts, Giant, Weis, Subway, Hartley’s, Lewistown Paper and Bargain Beer and Soda.
Both days were successful due to the Rotary Club; Juniata Valley Striders; MCSD event staff; MCSD maintenance and custodial staff; MCHS Art Club, Key Club, and National Honor Society; and the MCSD administration.
Special thanks go to Athletic Director Tish Maclay. Without her support, we would not have secured hosting the District 6 Cross Country Championships. From working with PIAA district officials, coaches and MCSD officials, to securing volunteers and event staff, to pushing cars that got stuck in the muddy conditions, and the other countless tasks she coordinated, her tireless efforts and support of athletics in Mifflin County are unparalleled.
Finally, thanks to our parents and grandparents for their continuous support of our athletes throughout the year. The district and community support for our cross country program makes every one of our athletes successful. We are proud to be Huskies and proud to be part of the Mifflin County family.
