Hershey is right person at right time for right job
To the editor:
During my career, I have hired dozens of people. When I interview individuals for a position, I make my decision on a number of variables. Obviously, the person interviewed must have the skill set to do the job. However, much more goes into my final selection. An individual who displays passion, energy, enthusiasm and shows commitment for the job, rank among the highest criteria I use when hiring. Work ethic is also critical.
Soon the voters of Franklin, Juniata and portions of Mifflin County will have the opportunity to “hire” an individual to represent them in the state House. We will hire this individual via our votes on Nov. 6. I strongly recommend John Hershey for this position.
John Hershey won the Republican nomination in the spring primary. He was one of nine candidates vying for the position and won decisively. He won because of his commitment to the position. His passion and energy were evident from the beginning. Further, he has a strong moral compass.
He is accessible. John Hershey has spent a huge amount of time going door to door meeting people. Since the beginning of the year, Hershey has been in my hometown of Allensville on four separate occasions. I am not aware that our current state representative has visited Allensville once in the time he has represented our district.
John’s work as a staff person in Congress has given him substantial legislative experience and the opportunity to provide constituent service. In short, John Hershey is the right person at the right time for the right job. Please join me by voting for John Hershey on Election Day.
