Thank you for support of Halloween Safe Night
To the editor:
On behalf of the Burnham Lions Club and children of the Burnham area, I would like to thank all those who assisted in making the annual Burnham Lions Club Halloween Safe Night a tremendous success. Approximately 390 persons visited the Lions’ Community Building for the event.
Special thanks goes to the following area businesses and organizations which contributed items to be distributed to the children, games or money to make th event successful:
Burnham Borough, Giant Food Stores in Burnham and Lewistown, Boy Scouts Troop 6 and Cub Scout Pack 6, Vince’s Pizza and Family Restaurant in Burnham, First National Bank Burnham branch, Hartley’s Potato Chips, Miss Central Pennsylvania Scholarship Pageant, especially Miss Greater Juniata Valley’s Outstanding Teen Abby Traxler, Weis Markets in Burnham, Sweet Frog of Burnham, The Sentinel, Burger King of Burnham, Esh Orchards, S&S Trash Service, St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lewistown, Barnabas Brothers and Ned Kauffman.
Personally, I would also like to thank all those members of the Burnham Lions Club who worked tirelessly to make sure that the Burnham Lions Club Community Building was properly decorated for Halloween and who helped distribute items to the children on the evening of the event.
