Spaghetti dinner to benefit family of Leevi Fultz

To the editor:

The Milroy Lions Club wishes to announce our November spaghetti supper. It will be held Thursday, Nov. 16, at White Memorial Church, Main Street, Milroy. We will be serving from 4 to 7 p.m.

The menu will be spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread, applesauce, homemade desserts and drinks. As always, we will be donating the net proceeds to help a special need. We charge by donation only.

This month’s recipient is 2-year-old Leevi Fultz son of Johnathan and Brittni Fultz, of New Lancaster Valley. Leevi was diagnosed in August with cancer after a visit to the emergency room. He is currently fighting grade III anaplastic ependymoma cancer, a rare tumor of the brain or spinal cord.

He has undergone surgery. The doctors feel they removed 100 percent of the tumor, but since surgery in August, Leevi has been receiving radiation treatments. He will begin chemotherapy a month after radiation is complete. Leevi has young siblings at home; his twin brother, Wiatt, and 6-year-old brother, Aiden.

Please join us on Nov. 16 for a good meal and a time of fellowship as we reach out to help this family with their many expenses associated with their son’s illness. You, the community members, help make these fundraisers a success and we humbly thank you for

your support.
