Lions to host benefit dinner tonight in Milroy
To the editor:
The Milroy Lions Club wishes to announce our September spaghetti supper. It will be held today at the White Memorial Church, Main Street, Milroy. We will serve from 4 to 7 p.m.
The menu will be the same: spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread, applesauce, homemade desserts and drink.
As always, we will donate the entire net profit to a worthy
recipient.
This month’s donation will be given to Brandie Snook and family. We charge by donation only.
Brandie has been dealing with a very serious health situation for quite some time. She had a form of cancer involving her jawbone. She had a long hospital stay which included a 14-hour surgery. She made return trips to the hospital in Pittsburgh for radiation
treatments.
The good news is that she is on the mend and has been determined to be cancer-free. Needless to say, this ordeal has been a tremendous drain on this family emotionally and financially. Please come out and support this very worthwhile cause.
We thank the general public for their support in the past and ask you for your continued support. Without your support, our endeavors would be futile.
Take-outs are available and homemade desserts are accepted.
