Trump is a much bigger liar than Obama ever was

To the editor:

Mr. John Brittain in his letter on Friday, April 7, made the statement that lying has been considered grounds for impeachment. He then gave two examples, one being Bill Clinton the other being Barack Obama.

He stated that Obama lied when saying “you can keep your doctor” in reference to the ACA, fair comment, but if he was to actually look at the facts he would see that President Obama was provided this information by the insurance companies. President Obama then gave this information to the general public believing it to be true. So in reality, it was not President Obama lying it was the insurance companies that lied.

Again, one of the many reasons that Trump should be impeached is his connection to Russia.

Yes, many other politicians have spoken to Russian diplomats but they were not connected to election tampering. For example, seems to be a coincidence that during his campaign Trump mentioned about the Clinton emails and then in the same sentence made a statement concerning Russia finding the deleted emails and releasing them — I’m sure that people can see the video on YouTube — and then not even a week later they are released via WikiLeaks who got them from a hacker that was traced to the Russian government.

Let me also ask this, if there were no connection between Russia and Trump’s administration why did Trump seek the approval of Putin and not Congress for his Syrian bombing? This bombing is nothing but a false flag operation to take the spotlight away from Trump’s shortcomings. This false flag operation is in the same vein as the Gulf of Tonkin incident which started the Vietnam War and which lead to the deaths of 58,220 American soldiers. This alone, is grounds for impeachment.

As for the threat to Meals on Wheels, again, it is not a threat, not when Trump’s budget states the defunding of Meals on Wheels, along with after school programs for needy kids and Planned Parenthood (a list of the services that Planned Parenthood supplies can be found on its website). I agree that these programs should be funded by the state, but they should also get funds from the federal government to provide a better level of service for the needy people they serve.

I do disagree with Mr. Brittain that under men like Lyndon Johnson that the government became a “gigantic insurance company,” instead, it became what it should have been from the very beginning, a government for the people and not a government for big corporations. Trump is taking the rights away from people that fought hard for them just to benefit the big corporations of which there are CEOs in his Cabinet.

I mentioned just two of the many reasons for Trump to be impeached, but Trump’s supporters have this unknown reason to want to keep the liar-in-chief in the White House even though he has proven time and time again since Jan. 20 that he is unfit to be president and that he cannot or will not keep his word on anything, for example, the wall.

He claimed that Mexico will pay for it. If that were the case why has he on numerous occasions asked Congress for money and began to deflect money from governmental agencies to his wall that will not stop any illegal activity?
