Thank you to all who helped with meat canning
To the editor:
Well, meat canning is over for another year — 36,000 pounds of meat canned, hundreds of workers fed; that’s my job. With the help of churches, businesses, Faye Havice and many friends, they say we feed between 1,000 to 1,500 meals in four days! It takes a month and a half to acquire all this food, then a week to gather it up.
It’s hard work, as the workers come 10-30 at a time ready to eat. Bill Logan is the head egg cooker and we would have a tough time without him, so thanks Bill. Tuesday there were 100 people cutting meat at one time! We run low on food, then all of a sudden, we have an abundance. God is good.
So a big thank you to all the people who came to my rescue, with food and help.
