Ask for defense of Hillary and you shall receive
To the editor:
This is a response to the comment in the Sentinel from (the) Open Line that was asking for a Hillary supporter to publish a letter defending her.
First of all, Hillary has not murdered anyone, she has not held a gun to anyone’s head and pulled the trigger, she has not stabbed or sliced anyone’s throat. So to say that she is a murderer is nonsense. If the person is talking about Benghazi, then here is a little fact for you and anyone else that blames Hillary: The sister of one of the people that was killed has stated that she does not blame Hillary for the deaths — she blames Congress and the Republican senators that voted against increasing the money available for the defense of American embassies and outposts. Another fact: Republican senators voted against increasing the money not once, but twice. Another fact that people seem to forget is that under Bush, over 60 people lost their lives during attacks on American embassies worldwide. I will not list them as a simple web search will provide the names of the places and the number of deaths at each place.
Were any of Bush’s “Benghazis” investigated? The simple answer to that is no. Another fact that no one can dispute is that the GOP undertook numerous investigations on Benghazi, which all came to the same conclusion: Hillary and the State Department did no wrong. Speaking of investigations, Bush’s “Benghazis” were not investigated. Why? The only conclusion that anyone can come up with is that Hillary is a woman and therefore had to be investigated while Bush, a man, was automatically thought to have done everything he could. This shows how sexist the GOP is.
Now, let’s talk about the emails and the private email servers. First of all, Hillary was cleared by the FBI who stated that no criminal act was involved during the deletion of the 33,000 emails, it was against Senatorial policy. Again, people either don’t care or believe that Bush did no wrong when he deleted over 20 million emails that he had deleted, some of which had been asked for by Congress as evidence in a few Congressional hearings. Where is the outrage concerning the email’s from Bush’s deletions?
Now, to the private email servers. Yes, Hillary had a private email server but guess what, so did Rove, Rice, Powell, Palin and Bush. Where was the outrage concerning the private email servers that they used? Again, the Republicans and Trump supporters are only throwing a temper tantrum over the emails because Hillary is a woman and is beating their candidate in all polls except one or two non-scientific polls.
I will not say anything about the Clinton Foundation as, yet again, a simple web search will provide the facts about both the Clinton Foundation and the Trump Foundation …
Now, to the comment that Trump made concerning grabbing women by the genitals and forcing himself onto them without permission. It was defended by saying that it was “shower room talk.” I agree that it is shower room talk, that is, if the shower room is full of sexual predators who boast about sexually assaulting women. Sorry, but if you are not offended by what he said — whether you are a man or a woman — then to use a phrase that was also in the Open Line over the weekend, you must be brain dead.
As to saying that this is the only thing that Trump has said, really? Obviously, the Open Line commentator has on blinkers concerning the things that Trump has said. Trump has made racist remarks about Mexicans and African-Americans. He has stated that Mexicans are rapists and thieves. Little fact: Every country has people that are rapists and thieves. He has stated that “Blacks have never been as worse off as they are now.” Really? Did Trump miss the civics lesson on slavery and Jim Crow? He has made the hypocritical statement about businesses sending their products overseas to be manufactured. This is funny, considering that he has his own products made all overseas in countries such as China, India and Mexico. He has completely shown what he thinks about women … there is also the name calling, such as calling women dogs, slobs and worse.
Now, to the so-called apology. If you believe that the words he used were an apology, then I have a piece of swampland on the moon to sell you, cheap.
For me, and millions nationwide, Trump has proven himself unfit to be POTUS. He has neither the temperament nor the ability to be POTUS. Hillary, on the other hand, has proven that she is the right person for the job of POTUS. She has the temperament and the ability to be POTUS, she knows exactly what the job means. That is why Hillary will be POTUS and it will not be due to a rigged election, as Trump keeps saying (another reason why he will not be POTUS, his constant moaning about things being rigged if they don’t go his way).
