Same-sex marriage ruling raises red flags

To the editor:

As I ponder the recent ruling of a single judge, who was appointed not elected, to overturn the law in Pennsylvania to legalize same-sex marriage, I am deeply concerned as to where we are heading as supposedly a government of the people and by the people.

Allowing one judge to make a decision with such broad affects is hardly a government by the people or of the people.

A law as far reaching as this should be brought to the people of the state to decide.

A quote from John Adams: “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people, it is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” End of quote.

Also, for our consideration would be Scripture from Roman’s 1:24-28 (KJV) “Wherefore God also gave them up to cleanliness. through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves.

“Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever, Amen.

“For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections; for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature.

“And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

“And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient.”

The good news, God will have mercy, if we repent.
