Unless we change ways our society will vanish

To the editor:

“Democracy extends the sphere of individual freedom; socialism restricts it. Democracy attaches all possible value to each man; socialism makes each man a mere agent, a mere number. Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word: equality. But notice the difference: While democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude.”

-Alexis de Tocqueville

Currently religion is practiced in socialistic countries with Norway 3 percent, Belgium 7 percent, Denmark 3 percent, Czech Republic 11 percent, Estonia 4 percent, Finland 5 percent and Latvia 7 percent. Is that what is in store for the United States?

If Alexis de Tocqueville were writing today he would certainly see the results of socialism in the countries that are socialistic. His comment, “Liberty cannot be established without morality, nor morality without faith,” would fit those countries.

Those countries lack faith. Their faith is in legal prostitution, abortion, gay marriage, euthanasia and baby stem cell killing. All but one has in common, murder. With church attendance in the United States at 25 percent and going down, we will be the same as those countries.

Unless we get rid of the current administration who promotes socialism and its agenda of abortion, gay marriage, euthanasia and baby stem cell, we will be left on the scrap heap of time with other countries such as Rome and Greece. Those countries had the same agenda we now have including abortion, et al. Their societies failed.
