Milroy Lions aim to help woman with health woes

To the editor:

The Milroy Lions Club wishes to announce the November spaghetti supper.

It will be held Nov. 21 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the White Memorial Church, Main Street, Milroy.

The net proceeds from this supper will be donated to the Annette Houser Hospital Fund.

Annette has always been a hard-working person.

As a farm wife she also drove a school bus and worked at the Uni-Mart simultaneously while rearing four now-adult children.

She was working full time until her health problems came into her life. Complications with health insurance have left her facing large health care bills.

Currently she is unable to work and needs our care and support. I urge you to support our efforts to help this good neighbor.

In addition to the donation for the meal we will accept any other donations you may feel moved to contribute.

Please remember we charge by donation for the meal so everyone can afford to support this fundraiser.

We will not have a supper in December. We will start again the third Thursday in January.

If you know any individual or group that has a special need please contact a Lions club member. We will consider any and all requests.
