Burnham Bulldogs coach says thanks for support
To the editor:
As head coach of the Burnham Bulldogs special needs football team I would like to thank everyone who made this fifth anniversary of our Super Bowls possible.
First I would like to thank the Mifflin County School District for not only providing the field but for also playing us in the first game of the series.
Next I would like to thank the Overhead Door company for continuing our on-field rivalry and helping with the radio telecast.
Thank you to all the parents and fans who came out to the game as well as great performances of the national anthem by Katie Knable and Chris Ruble.
The list is long of thank-yous but Chris Ruble was fantastic in his in-between game performance and it is always special when the Touring Friends bike club leads us onto the field..
This year, special kudos go out to the Mifflin County Band Boosters as they provided the concession stand and last but not least Santa Troy who made one our player’s wishes come true.
The boys would like to also thank the Brooklyn Fire Company for the parade into the game.
If I forgot anyone I am sorry but we, the Burnham Bulldogs appreciate all the help in making this possible.
Hopefully 2014 will be just as successful of a season.
