Says Searer represents local community values
To the editor:
This letter is written to support the re-election of Judge Tim Searer as President Judge of the Mifflin County Court of Common Pleas. I endorse Judge Searer because he has devoted his career to serving our community with passion and intellect.
Judge Searer possesses many qualities that make him an outstanding judge. His parents were both born and raised in Mifflin County and served our country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Jesse was an insurance agent in the Big Valley for many years and retired from Standard Steel. His mother, Kate, was a registered nurse for Dr. Michael DeVita and later, Drs. Leopold, Creighton, Gardner and Geisinger Group. Those Mifflin County roots and parental guidance instilled a strong work ethic and knowledge of our community standards. His common sense decisions on the bench follow those principles. Quite simply, Judge Searer represents the best values of our community.
As district attorney, he worked tirelessly to protect the citizens of Mifflin County. As judge, he has presided over every type of case in an efficient and thoughtful manner. This experience ensures we can trust Judge Searer to do the right thing.
Please ask yourselves if you would want to place the fate of your family, friends or fellow citizens in the hands of a person who has minimal experience. Ask yourselves if we should spend our tax dollars to provide on the job training for an inexperienced and unproven judge.
I see absolutely no need for change. I sincerely hope that you will join me and support Judge Searer for re-election as President Judge on Nov. 5.
