Make-A-Wish helped by many at benefit auction

To the editor:

We are truly grateful for the amount of support we received for our Make-A-Wish benefit auction held on Aug. 17. With the generous help of the community and local businesses, WaterSide Campground was able to raise $1,728.25 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

At this time we would like to thank the following businesses for their donations for the auction: Willie’s Pine Furniture, Walmart, Peight’s Country Store, Miller Gentry CPAs, Marlene’s Total Image Concepts, Lewistown Pharmacy, Tip Top Consignment Shop, Nadia’s Massage and Body Works, Valley Sports N Outdoors, Lerch RV, Advance Auto, Trolley Car Restaurant, and Bohn Furniture.

Thank you to the following businesses for their individual donations: Marlette Homes, Bobby Rahal of Lewistown, and Lewistown Consumer Discount Company.

Thank you to the individuals who donated items: Deb Colwell, Pat Mannino, Ron and Bobbi Moist, Michelle Wilson, Sara Clugh, Joyce Lundstrom, Laura Knepp, Luke Heimbaugh, Lonny Shawver, and Carroll and Barbara Lamb.

We sincerely appreciate the following businesses for the donations toward our food stand: Kline’s Market in McVeytown and Giant Food Stores.

We would like to also thank Ron Grassmyer for volunteering his time and auctioneering services.

Thank you to The (Lewistown) Sentinel, WMRF Radio and WCHX Radio for publicizing our event.

Last but not least, the event would not have been possible without the assistance of WaterSide Staff, Seasonals, and fellow friends and family. Thank you all for your time and dedication in making the auction and food stand a success.
