Cruizers thank backers of Special Needs Center

To the editor:

The All-American Cruizers Car Club was one of four local clubs which recently co-hosted the Wings & Wheels Community Event at the Mifflin County Airport in Reedsville. The other clubs were the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 518, Seven Mountains Jeep Club and the Touring Friends Motorcycle Club.

The All-American Cruizers Car Club was charged with the responsibility of, in conjunction with the other clubs, selling gun raffle tickets, as well as registering the vehicles on display, soliciting items and conducting a Chinese auction on site. Various local businesses and individuals were kind enough to donate many items that made the Chinese auction a success.

The All-American Cruizers would, therefore, like to acknowledge and thank those who contributed: Advance Auto Parts, Arby’s, Asher’s Candies, AutoZone, Bel-Vue Inn, Big Valley Antiques, Burnham Hardware, Fisher Auto Parts, Foss Jewelers, Lewistown Florist, Old Thyme Reflections, Recognition Engraving, Sticky Bun Cafe, Tractor Supply, Vince’s Pizza and Weis Markets.

Club members who donated items were: Al Coudriet, Mr. and Mrs. Don Eagler, Chris English, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Gantt, Helen Kirk, Nick Kirk, Kevin and Andrea McCardle, Brent Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Milliken, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Riden, Don and Sally Roberts, Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Tim Thomas, Don VanHorn and Ron Wagner.

Again, the All-American Cruizers Car Club would like to thank one and all, the persons who registered and displayed their vehicles, bought and sold raffle tickets, donated to the Chinese auction and/or helped in any other way. Without your help, kindness and generosity, the event would not have been a success. The net proceeds accrued by the various clubs were combined and donated to the Mifflin-Juniata Special Needs Center.
