Thanks to supporters of Reedsville Community Day

To the editor:

Another year, another successful Reedsville Community Day! Our day was filled with lots of fun activities with our pickle and pie eating contests, pet show and community yard sales brimming with activities.

Chris Bratton, past participate and two-time pickle eating champion, won the adult pie and pickle eating contests. Addison Fultz, of Honey Brook, Reedsville, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fultz, was named Little Miss Reedsville for 2013. She and her court were honored with a ride around downtown by the Daze Gone Bye horse and carriage. We were so pleased to have the Mifflin County 4-H Dairy Feeder Club and boy scouts involved. We would love to include more community groups next year. Please call us if you’d like to be included.

All Little Miss Reedsville contestants were given flowers from Corner Shop Flowers & Gifts and prizes from Bohn Furniture, Brindel’s Hardware, Brown Township, Michele’s Pizzeria, Squire Browns, Toots’ Place, Juniata Valley Bank and Wilson’s Gifts & Jewelry. Cindy Bratton coordinated the contest with Buda from WCHX as Master of Ceremonies. Judges for the event were Kathy Knarr, Amanda Parker and Chris Bratton.

Thanks to all our event coordinators, Vickie McClellan, Summer Weiss, Cindy Bratton, Natalie, Conner and Anthony Fultz and Kirk Rager.
