Relay for Life chairs take hats off to all who helped
To the editor:
As co-chairs of Survivor and Luminary Committees, we would like to take this opportunity to thank the many people on our committees who helped make this year’s Relay For Life of Mifflin-Juniata a success.
The committee would like to say a special thank you to those individuals and businesses that donated their time, money and/or goods to make Relay a memorable event for survivors.
Thank you to Downtown OIP for the survivor dinner and to Graceful Women and friends for serving the meal. Also to Lewistown Paper, First Quality, Lingle’s Distributing, Burnham, Milroy, Electric Avenue, and Lewistown Subway stores, and Burnham and Lewistown Giant stores.
Thank you for the donation of prizes for survivors: Burnham OIP, Dairy Queen of Milroy and Lewistown, Auto Zone, Dan Pierce Outdoor Shop, Hoss’s, Advanced Auto, Squire Brown, Little Cupcake Shoppe and both locations of Dunkin Donuts.
Thank you to the following people who participated in our opening survivors service and the luminary service: Chris Ruble, Tina Riden, Darin Rex, Tim Matthews, Travis, Suzanne, Gianna and Jackson Hess, Vince and Carla Inzirello, Gina Moore, G-Man and the Mifflin County High School Cheerleaders.
Of course, a special thank you to all survivors and caregivers that support Relay. You are the reason we Relay.
A heartfelt thanks to our committee members for their countless hours to make the 2013 Relay For Life a memorable one.
If we have missed anyone who helped or donated, our sincere apologies. As you can see it is a very long list of people and it shows that the residents of Mifflin and Juniata counties really do support the cause of the American Cancer Society.
