Senior Games officials grateful for coverage

To the editor:

The 28th annual Senior Games Committee would like to express its appreciation to The Sentinel for the fantastic coverage of this year’s Senior Games. We were very pleased with the daily coverage of the various games through articles published as well as photos taken by Lauren, Buffie, Matt and Bradley. The article in The Golden Years Publication on April 24 offered the perfect opportunity for readers to become familiar with the many events being held and how to register for the games. There were 186 seniors who registered this year, the oldest participant being 93 years of age. What a wonderful community representation of the importance of maintaining good health by staying physically active. We look forward to partnering again with you next year.

Once again, The Senior Games Committee offers its gratitude to everyone at The Sentinel for its part in making this years’ Senior Games such a successful event.

Also, the committee would like to thank the following local business’s for their faithful support of Senior Games over the years. Without your support this highly anticipated, fun-filled event for our local senior population would not be possible. Therefore we offer heartfelt thanks to: Lewistown Hospital, Barrett Enterprises, Cross Country Coach, YMCA, Derry Township and Dunkin’ Donuts. Thank you to all the vendors who participated on opening day as well as those who offered to host an event during the week. We hope to work with you again at next years’ games.
