Milroy Lions meal profits to help family in need

To the editor:

Milroy Lions Club will hold a spaghetti supper on April 18, at White Memorial Church, Main Street, Milroy. We will be serving from 4 to 7 p.m. Cost is by donation only.

The net profit this month will be given to Mike and Julie Kauffman.

The Kauffmans find themselves in a very trying situation. Mike has serious health problems and is presently unable to work. He has been a self-employed truck driver and Julie has two part-time jobs. Along with all the other problems, their home in the McVeytown area was struck by lightning, burning to the point that it is inhabitable.

We urge the general public to support this fundraiser. In addition to the meal donation, we will accept any other donations to help these very discerning people.

This will be our last spaghetti supper this spring. We expect to start again in October.

See any Lion to order barbecued chicken, to be held May 4.
