Hooray for PMEA festival and all who helped host it

To the editor:

This weekend, our community was treated to an amazing and wonderful PMEA chorus festival which showcased many talented high school singers and choral programs.

Congratulations to Mifflin County’s host director, Mrs. Sherry Morgan, for putting on such a terrific event. Our school district is truly fortunate to have this dedicated professional leading one of the finest choirs in Pennsylvania.

Hats off to the dynamic Frank Bianchi, the guest conductor from Baldwin- Wallace University, for bringing out the best of these young performers. His passion for diverse, challenging music was appreciated by the students and audience.

A big thanks to Superintendent Estep, Principal Crosson and the hard working staff at Mifflin County High School for assisting in the logistics and providing a great venue for these kids.

Finally, thanks to the community’s many host families for housing, feeding and transporting these gifted students for the week. Mifflin County truly displayed the hospitality and pride that is the best feature of our valley.
