Marjorie A. Miller
LEWISTOWN – Marjorie A. Miller, 85, of 213 Green Ave., Lewistown, died at 6:28 a.m. Sunday, April 21, 2013, at the Lewistown Hospital.
Born July 9, 1927, in Windber, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Edith (Sheaffer) Lofflin.
She is survived by: her husband, G. Jackson Miller, whom she married on Jan. 4, 1947, at Grove Memorial United Methodist Church; her son, Scott J. Miller, of Altoona; daughter-in-law, Donna (Morvan) Miller, of Altoona; her sister, Delores Brought, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Jonathan H. Miller, Katie N. Lininger and husband, Jacob, Mackenzie A. Miller and Scott J. Miller II, all of Altoona; and two great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jon G. Miller, in 2000.
She was a 1945 graduate of Lewistown High School.
She was a member of Grove Memorial United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the IHS Sunday school class and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Altoona.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Grove Memorial United Methodist Church, with Pastor Theresa Fink officiating. Interment will be in St. Mark’s Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the church.
