Ruth A. Knepp

Born Dec. 3, 1926, in McClure, Snyder County, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Cutman) Knepp.

She is survived by: her children, James Knepp and his wife, Sherry, Cindy Knepp and Kathy Seiler and her husband, Bill, all of McAlisterville; one sister, Grace Rhodes, of Mifflintown; five grandchildren, Shawn Knepp, Christie Phillips, Corey Seiler, Matt Seiler and Rhonda Beistline; ten great-grandchildren, Cody Phillips, Courtney Rowe, Cody Freed, Katie Beistline, Connor Phillips, Kai Knepp, Ava Clark, Addison Seiler, Hailey Meiser and Cody Beistline; and one great-great-grandson, Owen Rowe.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by twin daughters in infancy; one great-granddaughter, Alexis Knepp; one sister, Stella Romig; and four brothers, Carl Knepp, Clair Knepp, Walter Knepp and Charlie Knepp.

In earlier life, Ruth was employed as a seamstress at Bubb Shirt Factory in McClure.

Her memberships included the McAlisterville United Methodist Church and the McAlisterville Senior Citizen’s Center. She enjoyed baking cookies, however, most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandson.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12, 2019, at the Brown Funeral Homes Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville, with Pastor Jennifer Heikes officiating.

Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, McAlisterville.

A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in memory of Ruth to a charity of the donor’s choice.
