Kenn Gregory ‘Nubbins’ Stuck
Kenn Gregory “Nubbins” Stuck, 68, formerly of Belleville, died at 7:33 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2019, at the home of his daughter in McClure.
Born May 6, 1951, in Belleville, he was the son of the late Rush G. Stuck Sr. and Mildred A. (Crownover) Stuck.
He is survived by: children, Shana L. Stuck and fiance, Aaron Armstrong, of McClure, and Shawn G. “Bud” Stuck and wife, Charity, of Milroy; and grandchildren, Moriah Soccio, of Lewistown, Ty Michael Stuck and Collin A. Stuck, both of Milroy.
He was the last of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by an infant sister and by four brothers, Rush G. Stuck Jr., Neil G. Stuck, Glen P. Stuck, Dean G. Stuck and a sister, Thelma Byler.
Kenn served in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1975. He was an engine mechanic and welder for the planes on the ship. After serving in the military, he was employed by Union Township for a number of years and he also worked at Berube’s Beer in Lewistown, Milroy Cabinet Factory and J. Wood Cabinet Factory.
He was Methodist by faith. He was a member of the VFW Post 7011, Lewistown, American Legion Post 90, Lewistown, City Hook and Ladder No. 14, Lewistown, Yeagertown Fire Co. and Brooklyn Hose Co. He also was a former member of VFW Post 5935, Belleville, and VFW Post 9575, Potters Mills.
He was involved in FFA when he was younger and raised rabbits. He enjoyed hunting, camping, going for rides in the mountains, hanging out with his friends, spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren, going out to eat and, most recently, watching the 700 Club every morning.
He was known for saying his name was Kenn with two “N’s.”
Kenn’s memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2019, at Rockville Fellowship Church, with Pastor Harold Sharp officiating. Burial will take place at Machpelal Cemetery after the luncheon. His family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church on Friday, May 24.
In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, memorials may be made to Henderson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 833, Belleville, PA 17004 to help defray funeral costs.
