Jennifer A. Elder

At 10:04 p.m., Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019, at William Penn Healthcare, Jennifer A. Elder, of 8th Street, Lewistown, was surrounded by her family when she went to join her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, following a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Born Feb. 3, 1970, in Lewistown, she was the eldest daughter of Gerald E. and Judy A. (Hunley) Elder, of Lewistown.

Surviving are: a son, Spencer T. Corson, of Burnham, and his father, Michael A. R. Corson, her former husband whom she had called her soulmate; a daughter, Sadie A. Stryker, of Lewistown; a sister, Kimberly A. Clark, of Lewistown; and a faithful friend, Richard Rhoades, of Lewistown.

A 1988 graduate of Chief Logan High School and a 1992 graduate of Lock Haven University, she was employed as a supervisor for Mifflin County Children and Youth for 12 years.

Jennifer attended Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church and was a member of Habitat for Humanity.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 28, 2019, at the Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church, 500 Highland Ave., Lewistown, with Pastor Rachel Horst officiating.

Friends will be received from 2 to 3 p.m., Sunday, at the church.

Private interment will be in Mt. Rock Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
