Ada C. Yoder

Ada C. Yoder, 89, of Reedsville, passed away at 6:15 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019, at her home.

Born Oct. 19, 1929, Reedsville, she was the daughter of Jonathan H. Glick and Maimie (Roth) Glick. Her husband, Darvin J. Yoder, whom she married on May 12, 1951, passed away on May 1, 2012.

She is survived by: children, Darvin J. Yoder and wife, Joan, of Reedsville, Lucinda Kratzer and husband, Rodney, of McClure, Kenneth E. Yoder and wife, Kathy, of Carlisle, and Larry J. Yoder and wife, Gail, of Reedsville; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Rebecca Yoder and husband, Joshua, of Belleville, Mark Glick and wife, Bonnie, of Reedsville, Sherman Glick, of Lewistown, Marian Stoltzfus, of Lititz, Eugene Glick, of Reedsville, Jane Cypher and husband, Virgil, of Florida, and Helen Delaney and husband, Samuel, of Belleville.

She was preceded in death by a brother, John Glick.

She was primarily a homemaker and a farm wife. She drove school bus for 25 years and later clerked at the produce auction at the sale barn in Belleville for over 20 years.

She enjoyed quilting and was well known for her quilts. She made fantastic caramels and graham cracker pudding. She also loved to play cards and was part of a card club.

She was a member of Maple Grove Mennonite Church and a member of the Ladies Sewing Circle.

Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019, at Maple Grove Mennonite Church, with Pastors Alan Kauffman and Herb Zook officiating. Burial will take place at Locust Grove Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the church.
