Ernest E. Pollock Sr.

Ernest E. Pollock Sr., 92, of 3573 Ferguson Valley Road, McVeytown, went to be with the Lord at 12:38 a.m., on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, at Ohesson Manor, Lewistown.

He was born on Feb. 16, 1926, in Mount Union, the son of the late Emory and Clara (Stengle) Pollock.

He was united in marriage to Louise R. (Morrison) Pollock on Aug. 28, 1948, in Bellwood. She preceded him in death on Nov. 2, 2018.

He is preceded in death by the following siblings: Ruth Porter, Bertha Knable, Roy Beatty, Peg Gaff, Luella Ashcraft, Paul Pollock and Beulah Price.

He is survived by: children, Linda Pollock, of McVeytown, Cindy McLuckie and husband, David, of Lewisberry, Ernest E. Pollock Jr., of McVeytown, and Bryan Pollock and wife, Mary, of McVeytown; grandchildren, Dave McLuckie and wife, Michele, Andrew McLuckie and wife, Jennifer, Kristi Hackenberg and husband, Wayne, Lyndsay Pollock, Jennifer Grissinger and husband, Darron, and Joshua Pollock; great-grandchildren, David, Kyle, Madison, Evan, Elaina, Jayce and Jayla.

Mr. Pollock was a veteran of WWII, having served with the U.S. Army in the European African Middle Eastern Theaters and he fought in the Battle of the Bulge.

He was employed as an ironworker at Local 404 Harrisburg, with 42 years of service.

Mr. Pollock was a member of Wayne United Methodist Church.

He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, with Pastor Stephanie Rupert officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. till 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
